How to pay with USDC
This page is only about paying for an order. Pephead Research materials are for laboratory research use only.
What USDC is
USDC is a digital dollar. 1 USDC is meant to stay equal to $1.
We ask you to send it on Base. Base is a network (a set of rails the payment travels on). Fees are usually under a cent, and the payment shows up in seconds.
The network matters as much as the token. USDC on another network is not the same payment.
Our address
USDC on Base. This is the same address as on your order confirmation.

Pay from the Coinbase app
This is the simplest path if you do not already hold USDC.
- Install the Coinbase app and create an account.
- Verify your ID when Coinbase asks. They require it to buy.
- Buy USDC. Buy a little more than your order total if the app shows a purchase fee.
- Tap Send.
- Pick USDC.
- Paste our address.
- Choose the Base network. If the app offers any other network, stop and switch to Base.
- Enter the exact amount from your order page.
- Review the token, the network, the amount, and the address.
- Send.
Coinbase-to-Base USDC sends are typically free. You still pay whatever Coinbase charges to buy the USDC.
Other ways to send
- Coinbase Wallet or the Base app can send USDC on Base if you already hold it there.
- Cash App does not send USDC on Base. Do not use it for this payment.
- Kraken and Robinhood sometimes let you withdraw crypto. Before you send, check that your app supports USDC on the Base network. If Base is not listed, do not send.
- Wallets such as Rabby or MetaMask: switch the wallet to the Base network, then send USDC to our address. Check that your app supports USDC on the Base network.
Checklist
- Right network: Base.
- Right token: USDC.
- Exact amount from your order.
- Double-check the first 4 and last 4 characters of the address.
- Keep the transaction ID the app gives you.
What happens next
We confirm the payment on BaseScan (a public record of Base transfers). That is usually within a few hours during the day. Then we ship.
If you need help, email admin@pepheadresearch.com with your order number and the transaction ID.
Common mistakes
- Sent on a network other than Base. We only watch Base. Money sent on the wrong network does not arrive in our Base wallet and can't be recovered.
- Sent a token other than USDC. We are looking for USDC.
- Amount does not match the order. Tell us the transaction ID so we can match it by hand.
- Typed the address by hand and missed a character. Compare the first 4 and last 4 before you confirm.
If you sent on the wrong network, contact the app or exchange you sent from right away and give them the transaction ID. If the transfer is still inside their system, they can sometimes stop it. If it already settled on the wrong network, recovery is often impossible, and we cannot pull it back. Email admin@pepheadresearch.com with the transaction ID and we will tell you whether it arrived on Base.
